Central Massachusetts Special Education CollaborativeWelcome to CMSEC

The Central Massachusetts Special Education Collaborative (CMSEC) proudly provides educational, clinical, and therapeutic services to the children, grades kindergarten through twelve, of public school districts in central Massachusetts.

Founded in 1975 by our member districts, Webster Public Schools and Worcester Public Schools, the CMSEC incorporates the Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40, Section 4e undertaking of providing quality education to children in need of specialized services while maintaining cost-effective solutions to public school districts. We employ a staff of 135 full-time dedicated employees and serve over 500 students from school districts surrounding Worcester County.

A member of the Massachusetts Organization of Educational Collaboratives (MOEC), the CMSEC strives to create capacity and excellence within the field of regular and special education by creating school environments that are safe, nurturing, and therapeutic for the children we serve.
